City View Tavern.

Remember when I said some Saturday, I was going to try a burger from City View Tavern? When we were on our way back home, we took a little detour back up the Mt. Adams Steps.





The view from Oregon Street is really nice. But it feels so far away from everything.



And we checked out the Oregon Street Steps as well...




And over there is site of the new casino that's starting to be be built in downtown...


And then on to the City View Tavern and that burger...


Mmm... Bell's Best Brown...


Let's go check out that deck...


We got our Big Ted burger and headed home to share it.

A Saturday afternoon in Mt. Adams.

There was nothing much going on today downtown so we walked up into Mt. Adams
to City View Tavern to admire the view of downtown Cincinnati and get a burger.

Later, we continued up to Tavern on the Hill to watch the Reds game.


It was a really fun afternoon and evening. We should make a habit of walking up into
Mt. Adams more often. :)

Mt. Adams Saturday.

It's been forever and a day since we've walked up into Mt. Adams to do anything. Actually according to our Swarm, the last time we checked-in up in Mt. Adams was for our holiday party last December. It was another dreary, grey, overcast Saturday afternoon. What better time to head back up into Mt. Adams?


We were going to have lunch at The Rookwood...

But it was closed for a private event. :/ There's no shortage of stairs in Mt. Adams...

And it's good to see the construction isn't limited to just downtown...

We'll have to go back and check out Sprout Market & Eatery...

After watching some football at a couple different spots on St. Gregory Street, we ended our evening at City View Tavern...

With their great views of downtown...


It was a pretty fun Saturday afternoon up in Mt. Adams. :)

Mount Adams Steps.

We were out on our epic walk today and Milan pulled me off our normal route. Between
some buildings, I saw this rather majestic gateway...


Turns out that this is the starting point of the historic Mount Adams Steps.


Hmm, looks like our epic walk is going to get a little bit longer...

I see a super mega epic walk to Eden Park in our near future. Just saying.


Hey, I've been up here before. I just think I came a slightly different way. Wearing a
few too many layers on our walk today, I thought we should head back down.

But we did go check out Oregon Street...


Behind the multi-million dollar Palisades condos were these decayed stairways to nowhere.


I had no idea that City View Tavern was on Oregon Street. Who knew?

I'm totally going to walk up here to have a burger and beer sometime really soon.


The Oregon Street Stairs? Really? There are more stairs?

But that's going to have to be another adventure for another day. Let's head back home.



It's crazy to think we were just all the way up there just a little bit ago.
