RoeblingFest.

After lunch on the Levee, we caught the Southbank Shuttle over to Covington...


We were still trying to track down RoeblingFest. And mission accomplished...

Hmm...





Not a lot to it really. But they did have a tent with a whole bunch of historical photos...





Afterwards, we broke camp and went around the corner to Molly Malone's to watch the
Brazil v. Italy Confederation's Cup soccer match.

I guess it's that time of year for baby birds...


RoeblingFest was a bit of a bust. But it's always fun to try something different. :)

From Smale Riverfront Park, we walked along the riverfront to the Purple People Bridge...

We crossed the Ohio River to get over to Newport on the Levee where we shared this
delicious BBQ Chicken Quesadilla at Brother's...

And at some point, we really need to bite the bullet and Ride the Ducks...

Seriously. :)

Smale Riverfront Park.

Today was RoeblingFest, a celebration of the Roebling Suspension Bridge. We weren't
exactly sure where the festivities were taking place so we walked down to The Banks
and Smale Riverfront Park to try to figure it out or at least say hello to the bridge.


We didn't realize that they had finished a whole new section, Women's Committee Garden...


This path runs over to the Smale Riverfront Park Labyrinth...



And the next section is pretty much just a huge playground!

We wandered over to find those new swings they recently added to the park...



It's such a pretty park. It doesn't matter you're there during the day or at night.
It's a wonderful addition to downtown Cincinnati and it just keeps getting better.

When we were walking home from Red Roost Tavern, we saw this...

More lost shoes.

It's been a little while since we last saw a pair of lost shoes. But tonight, we saw these...

Poor shoes lost their people. :(

Red Roost Tavern.

Tonight, we walked across downtown to the newly-renovated Hyatt Regency to check out
their also newly-renovated restaurant/bar, Red Roost Tavern.






Genifer ordered this delightful Summer Salad...

Mixed greens, almonds, goat cheese, strawberries, heirloom tomatoes with a lemon garlic
vinaigrette. And I ordered this amazing Cincinnati Spiced Bison Burger...

Blackberry ketchup, argula and avocado on a brioche bun. Pure awesome.

After we were done eating, we checked out the rest of the place...








Great atmosphere and ambience. Delicious food. Really well done by the Hyatt Regency.
As are the renovations to their lobby...
