After last night's game, Reds second baseman Brandon Phillips had some choice
words about the St. Louis Cardinals...
"I'd play against these guys with one leg. We have to beat these guys. I hate the
Cardinals. All they do is [bleep] and moan about everything, all of them, they're
little [same bleep, plural], all of 'em. I really hate the Cardinals. Compared to
the Cardinals, I love the Chicago Cubs. Let me make this clear: I hate the Cardinals."
Wow. Okay... how do you really feel about the Cardinals, Brandon? Don't hold back.
So when Brandon led-off the bottom of the first for the Reds, him and Cards catcher,
Yadier Molina exchanged words and somebody said something about someone's momma
and then the benches cleared for a fracas that lasted about five minutes. Awesome stuff.
So I guess I got tickets to the wrong game. :( Who knew there was gonna be a bench-clearer?
Reds ended up losing 8-4 and are now tied with St. Louis for first place in the NL Central.
