Currito.

Today marked the grand opening of the cure for the common burrito, Currito in downtown
Cincinnati. They strive to push their burritos beyond Mexican cuisine, incorporating
flavors from the Mediterranean, America, Asia and of course Mexico. Let's go...










In the time it took to order and make my burrito, the place became packed...


I ordered the Summer burrito... grilled chicken with black beans, mango salsa and melted
cheese. It was delicious and ginormous! I could only manage to eat two-thirds of it!

And you gotta love a company with a sense of humor...


Welcome to downtown Cincinnati, Currito! You're going to do just fine. :)


UPDATE: I went to Currito again, and this time tried the Bangkok burrito with Barbacoa.
The Bangkok has Thai-style peanut sauce, Asian slaw, cucumbers and rice. And it is
absolutely delicious. I'm a big fan.

Free Currito burritos!

This morning, Currito in downtown Cincinnati had a #CurritoRTContest on their Twitter.
The first 20 people to retweet their tweet would win a free burrito. And I won! After work,
we stopped in to Currito to pick up our free burrito...




Later that evening, Genifer and I split our free classic burrito for dinner...


YUM! Is it just me or does stuff taste even better when it's free? I love my Twitter. :)

Genifer was smarter than I was and took today off work. But I met her for lunch at Currito.

I ordered a classic burrito but got a classic bowl and it was amazing but huge...

We love Currito.

Lunch at Currito.

I told Genifer a lot about Currito since they've opened. And today we walked over
for lunch so that she could check it out for herself. Genifer wanted to try their
Classic burrito first before she tried any of their specialty burritos. I tried
their Cajun burrito... Chicken, cajun spices, black beans, roasted corn and rice.



YUM! We both really, really like Currito. A lot. :)

We had some delicious Currito burritos for lunch today. It's been a while since we've had Currito for lunch. I don't know why we haven't eaten at Currito in a while because those dang burritos are super delicious!

The Eagle Food & Beer Hall.

We were up early this morning. So we decided to head up into Over-the-Rhine to check out The Eagle Food & Beer Hall. It's the new restaurant from the same people that blessed Cincinnati with the goodness that is Bakersfield and Currito. The Eagle just recently opened up shop on Vine Street. You know, in the hotbed of hip, new dining options downtown. They do southern style comfort food with a emphasis on fried chicken. If it's anywhere near as amazing as Bakersfield, you just know this is gonna be a treat...

I ordered the half chicken with macaroni and spoonbread...

I ordered waaaay too much food.

Incredible lunch! We can't wait to head back to The Eagle to try more of their delicious
menu items! Genifer is already eyeballing their grilled cheeses with apricot preserves.
And I'm licking my chops over their chicken sammich. We can't wait for our next visit! :)
