their season opener against the Wheeling Nailers 4-2. And it was The Walking Dead night
at US Bank Arena. Who's ready for some Cyclones hockey? We are! Let's go!
It was already 1-0 to the Toledo Walleye when we got to US Bank Arena.
At the first intermission, there was a "brains" eating contest...
People still love free stuff. It's good to see that some things never change...
The Cyclones got a new design at center ice for this season...
The first beer pyramid of our Cyclones hockey season...
At the end of the second period, it was still 1-0 to Toledo.
And then they had The Walking Dead best zombie contest...
The girl and the end in the plaid nailed it...
And then the Nailers went up 2-0 in the third...
The guy in the horse mask was not pleased...
But the then 'Clones pulled a goal back...
And then the 'Clones scored a second goal to tie the game at two!
At the end of the third period, the game was knotted at two. OVERTIME! Extra hockey!
And then the Cyclones scored in overtime! THE CYCLONES WIN!
The brand new bridge connecting Pete Rose Way and US Bank Arena looks almost done.
It was a great first night of hockey to kick-off our Cyclones season!
And I love the view of downtown Cincinnati from US Bank Arena. :)
