Bakersfield.

This afternoon we finally made it over to Bakersfield in the Gateway Quarter of OtR.
We've tried to stop a handful of times before over the last few months but there was
always a pretty big wait. With Daylight Savings Time, we found ourselves an hour ahead
of schedule. So we thought we'd see if we couldn't mosey on in to Bakersfield today.

They had four of the five beers that 5 Rabbits out Chicago has to offer on tap...
Bakersfield
Hmm... Kinda missed my focus there a little bit. We started with the 5 Lizard, a Latin style
witibier made with passionfruit. And holy geez, that's a very delicious beer.

Chips and guacamole...
Bakersfield
Some of the best guac that I've ever had. Ever. And on to some tacos...

Starting at the top moving clockwise, we ordered a chicken mole taco that was on special
(absolutely delicious), the cochinita pibil (wicked spicy), the pastor (my favorite, love the
pineapple) and the rajas (all peppers with chihuahua cheese). Amazing, amazing stuff!
Bakersfield
There was a birthday. The thing that cracked me up was everyone with their cameras.
Bakersfield
We sat and watched the Bengals game for a bit. And then we overheard the short rib taco,
which they ran out of right before we ordered, was available again. So we ordered one.
Bakersfield
And a margarita...
Bakersfield
Wow. Okay, make that two margaritas...

Great stuff. And really worth the wait. We can't wait to head back to Bakersfield.
It'll just take a little planning ahead. :)
