The City Flea: December edition.

This evening was the December edition of The City Flea at Washington Park...



It got pretty crowded and congested in places...


Who knew Cincinnati used to have a basketball team? I did not.

Washington Park.

Last night, Washington Park's holiday tree was lit up during the 4th annual Light Up OtR...



It's another really pretty downtown holiday tree, just on a slightly smaller scale than the massive tree on Fountain Square. :)

Cincinnati Santacon.

The Cincinnnati Santacon was going on today all over downtown. For the most part, it was just a bunch of drunk people staggering around downtown from bar to bar in Santa hats. But then there were those who really went all out. And these two definitely get my vote for the most Christmas spirit...

Deskey Holiday Party.

Tonight was the Deskey Holiday Party out at 50 West Brewing Co...



It was a night of laughter and celebration among great people, delicious beers and shuffleboard. Lots of shuffleboard. Good times. Fun night. :)

We used Uber for the first time to get out to the party and back. With a promo code and some credits that we had accumulated, it didn't cost us a dime. You can't beat that! :)

The Blind Pig.

We heard about a new bar just opened up down on west Third Street. The Blind Pig is being marketed as a modernized speakeasy for the new age, an updated take of what a speakeasy is now... a place to grab some fantastic food, sip on updated versions of the quirky drinks that were invented during prohibition and catch your favorite teams on TV.

When I think of speakeasys, I think of a hard-to-find little place that's down some back alley without a sign to be seen. It wasn't nearly as hard to find as we had hoped...

There's a real shortage of places with great patios in downtown Cincinnati...














Great place, great drinks, super friendly staff. We can't wait to go back for something to eat as soon as they get the finishing touches on their menu worked out. :)
