Lavomatic.
After wandering around the OtR Community Festival, we headed over to Vine Street's
Gateway Quarter to check out the newly remodeled Lavomatic...
My parents split the chicken salad sammich with red, white and blue potato salad which
they said was excellent. And Genifer had a salad of some sort of salad with Garlic Goat
Cheese which she described eloquently as, "Yummo!" I had the Big Boss Grilled Cheese...
It was awesome! We washed it all down with a couple of Bell's Oberon's. Our server
also said the fish tacos were to die for. So they're next on our list of things to try the
next time we find ourselves at Lavomatic again. And I can only imagine that will be
very, very soon. :) Oh... And I've always loved their upstairs patio...

This afternoon we walked up to Washington Park to check out the OtR Community Festival.
Fun afternoon. And there was a photo of us on Metromix Cincinnati...

Reds baseball game #22!
My parents were in town for the big NL Central showdown. The first-place Reds, with
the best record in all of baseball, were taking on the second-place Pirates in the first
of three games for the battle for the battle to #TakeTheCentral. At the start of tonight's
game, just 3.5 games separated the two teams...
On the way into the ball park, my dad picked up an Aroldis Chapman t-shirt...
Ye-ah... I'm loving these Reds too! I'm loving the view from our seats as well...
Mat Latos was on the hill for the Reds...
Chris Heisey put the Reds on the board with an inside the ball park home run...
There was a very faint rainbow over the Ohio River...
Mat Latos pitched 7 1/3 innings of shutout baseball...
And the Reds brought in new reliever Jonathan Broxton...
Broxton picked up the other two outs in the eighth to take the game to the ninth.
Tonight another capacity crowd was on hand at GABP...
It was the top of the ninth and that means...
BOOM! And this one belongs to the Reds!
A while back Reds Hall of Fame announcer, Marty Brennaman said if this Reds team could
win 10 games in a row that he would shave his head. Well, the Reds rattled of 10 in a row.
And then Marty said that if Reds fans could raise $20,000 for the Reds Community Fund,
he'd get his head shaved at home plate. Well, the Reds fans raised $20,000! And corporate
sponsors kicked in another $30,000. So tonight Marty got his haircut...
Oh... and happy 70th birthday, Marty!
There was a pretty moon tonight...
And finally, it was time for some Friday night fireworks...
And the grand finale...
The Reds and Rozzi Fireworks definitely know how to put on a show!
Epic, epic night at Great American Ball Park! :)
