WOW!!!

So while I was out shooting the Guinness OysterFest, Michigan QB Denard Robinson
was out running riot all over the Connecticut defense. I taped the game but have only
seen the highlights to this point. Denard Shoelaces compiled 383 yards of total offense;
completing 19 of his 22 passes, but was even better with his feet, gaining 197 yards
on 29 carries, a Michigan record for a quarterback. New and improved indeed... WOW!!!
Michigan rolled over Connecticut 30-10. It's a great start to the season.
And I'm All In for Michigan Football!

GO Blue!

Next up, Michigan travels to South Bend to take on Notre Dame; 3:30pm ET on NBC. Ugh.
And ugh not for playing Notre Dame but for the game being on NBC. Ick.

The Guinness Oyster Festival.

This afternoon with my VCR all set (yep, I still use a VCR) to tape the Michigan football
season opener, I went to check out the Guinness Oyster Festival on Fountain Square.


I got down to the Square just in time for the Oyster eating contest. Whoever could eat 24
oysters on the half shell first would win a 100$ gift certicate to Washington Platform, a
championship medal and the title of Cincinnati's fastest oyster-eater person...




Joe LaReau, Cincinnati's coney-eating champ took the oyster-eating title too after
downing his 24 oysters in some absolutely absurd time like 20 freakin' seconds.



And everyone who participated got a 10$ gift card to Washington Platform.


After the contest, there was more Guinness to drink, oysters to eat, music to listen
to and just a whole bunch more fun to be had. Annnd Cincinnati's premiere mixologist,
Molly Wellmann had a Bloody Mary bar all set up. What. Up? Oyster Fest is awesome...

According to UrbanCincy.com, I live in the newly coined Eighth Street Design District.
And guess what? They are having a lunchtime concert series to celebrate...

So I live in a district of downtown now. And it's a design district. And that's pretty cool.
Because I'm a designer.

Today is the start of the 2010 University of Michigan Football season. I'm ready!

ps. Michigan opens the 2010 season against UConn in the newly renovated Big House.
The game is on ABC/ESPN2 at 3:30pm ET.

The final Midpoint Indie Summer Series.

Tonight was the last Indie Summer Series on Fountain Square. And it went out with a
sonic boom! It was the perfect, gorgeous night, and what an incredible show! WOW!!!


Fountain Square was a sea of people who turned to hear Cincy darlings, The Seedy Seeds...













And super big-time national MTV act, We Are Scientists...
